Below is a list of terms used in Overwatch and their meanings

1.
Enemy is low on HP, presumably 1 bar or 1hp
Example: I'm on Genji, he's low. Genji 1! Genji 1!

A

adad.
Pronounced: A, D, A, D.
Also known as strafe shooting
To strafe left and right to avoid enemy fire.

B

boop.
To push an enemy away from you with an ability of some kind.
Example: Zarya: Rein, I thought I told you to block that shatter!
Rein: I tried to, but the Lucio booped me out of the way!

C

cc.
Crowd Control refers to any ability that can slow down, stop, or otherwise hinder an enemy's movement or abilities or help keep that enemy "under control." These are abilities such as stuns, slows, disables, boops and so on.

C

counter.
A hero with abilities that are effective against another hero.
A mechanic that can help counteract an enemy's mechanic or kit.
A play style that can help combat another player's hero or play style.
Example: Hitscan heroes (namely Ashe, McCree, Soldier, Widowmaker) can be effective against flying heroes like Echo or Pharah because their bullets fly straight and immediately hit their targets.
Example: Roadhog can be an effective counter to dive heroes (Winston, Doomfist, Genji, Tracer) because of his hook and burst damage output.

G

group up.
Join together as 6 with your team

P

peel.
To apply pressure to an enemy who is pressuring your team to force them to disengage.
Example: The Genji dove our Zenyatta so I shot him a few times to *peel*.
Example: Guys this tracer is up my butt, can I get some *peel?*
play together.
Play with your team
Coordinate and move together
preaim.
Short for predictive aim; could also be pre-aim as in before aim.
To aim your crosshair at a position on screen where you expect your enemies to appear before actually seeing them.

R

regroup.
Join together as 6

R

reset.
Regroup with your team, die, or hide (soft reset)
Get in position to become 6 people again.

S

stagger.
To make sure the enemy team does not spawn at the same time.
To prevent your own team from spawning at the same time, by not dying together in a team fight.
Example: Mercy is getting away! Stagger her!
Example: Guys, stop trickling in, we're getting staggered.

T

telegraph.
To unintentionally give away your position or motives
Example: Ana: How did you know where I was?
Genji: I could see you shooting from across the map, your scoped shots telegraph your position!
trickle.
To enter into battle one by one, rather than grouping up to fight as a team
Example: Guys, we need to group up we keep trickling in.
